Max mounting depth???

Does anyone know the max mounting depth for the sail panels in a 1999 TA with the monsoon system? Would it be possible to mount a midbass/subwoofer that calls for 3 inches?

Re: Max mounting depth???

I dont have the mounting depth available for those Mid-basses I put in and I dont feel like pulling them out, but they are much bigger than normal speakers, and they fit, very tightly, but they fit. There are some pics in the thread he pointed you towards comparing a Pioneer speaker to my Digital Audio Mid-Basses, so that may help you out.

Can you recall the model number of the pioneers? I can judge by looking them up on critchfield or sounddomain. The 6.5's i wan call for 3 inches mounting depth.

Re: Max mounting depth???

I would say that 3 inches is probably fine. The Pioneers in the pictures have a mounting depth of 2 5/16" and the Mid-Basses are huge compared to them.
