kicker SS65.2 components

hey all just wondering if any of u have this set or have heard them b4? i realize they were pricey not too long ago & can be had for a reasonable price on the net. this set screams quality & just wanted any opinions on them.....thanks

They are great, if you power them correctly. If your not gonna spend the money for a good amp that feeds them, you're wasting your money.

hey thanks for the input......ya i was also wondering how these compare to the older r6 series(resolution)? the ss series seems to have the edge but thought id ask. these components will be powered by an old school punch 500a2, so decent power will be available to them

With that amp, you will love them; however, the week part to these component speakers is the crossover. I usually recommend bi-amping them. Meaning using a 4 channel amp with the tweeters connected to the front and the crossover set higher than the rear, which has both mids connected, and leaving out the crossover. I think the SS speakers def. trump the r6's, not that the r6's were bad, just the ss's are just that good of a speaker, imo.
