Kenwood Stereo Questions
Kenwood Stereo Questions
I have a cheap Kenwood cassette player that controls my 10 disc Kenwood changer. It uses this odd multi-pin cable so I am curious if any other brands use this. I really need a new deck since mine is low wattage, has a poor EQ, and has a green display which I hate with my red guages. I was reccomended to get a certain kenwood deck but it doesn't have a good EQ so I really want to go another brand. Any info about converters or ways to not need to replace my changer and deck would be great. Or maybe a nice Kenwood deck model number would be good too.
Whats the model you were refered to, but didn't like?
I bought a Kenwood KDC-MPV6022 because it was one of the cheaper mp3 models that had a good color scheme (the dial has a half dozen blue LEDS around it, while the buttons can be green or red, and the face has 60 some-odd color options.
The unit DOES have something labeled "Kenwood disc changer conrtol input" -which looksto be a mini-DIN connection of some sort. (A round hole about 1/2 inch big with a dozen or so female connections).
I bought mine on eBay almost a year ago for a touch over a one fifty after shipping.

Yep, they're all in the same family. The 6022 I mentioned is pretty much the exact same unit as the 422 you're thinking about, but with added mp3 functionality, and the 825 adds wma functionality and the flip down faceplate.
