Question Kenwood Amps any good?

Trying to put together a clean sounding system on a budget. Kenwood amps seem to be in my price range but not sure if they are any good - meaning if they are efficient / reliable. My budget for 2 amps + 2 subs + component speakers is $1,000.00 and i'm also kicking around buying used stuff too. Mainly listen to top 40 music. Here are the two amps I was looking at - this one for the subs

AND

this one for the components

Any suggestions? Thanks Kumar

Not that I am saying that Kenwood is not good, it will do it's job, but my advice, get a JL 500/1 and JL 300/4 (if you wish to use only 2 speakers, then JL 300/2). They are VERY reliable, VERY high quality amps, they will give you same power on 2 and 4 ohms by using regulated power supply. They will outrun Kenwood in everything - power, controls, SQ, efficiency. Will run you for around ~$500 together off ebay, used. Go with W6V2 subs.
