installed a CD player in my g/f's car(have a problem)
installed a CD player in my g/f's car(have a problem)
she owns a 2000 sentra and a lot of the buttons were broke so she wanted another factory cd player. So I found one bought it thing looked brand new. Put it in everything works fine except it gets a read error with the cd's sometimes. This is with burnt cd's and regular store bought cd's. Any idea on what would cause this read error??

good luck man, tell us how it goes. You should start with the easy and cheap stuff first, then if you cant trouble shoot it, take it in, or get a new one.

it was under warranty and I got it fixed for free, but it was only 3 months old and it started funny. It could also be a loose connection inside the radio and it makes connections at times. Hope you figure it out.

well I used the cleaning cd and of course it read it fine and worked. Then we put a cd and it worked for about 2minutes then it quit. Then it hasn't been able to read any cd's since. I just don't know what the hell to do
