Info On Delco Bose CD System
Info On Delco Bose CD System
I am working overseas and bought a 94Z back in the states. My stepson picked it up for me. The Z supposedly has the optional Delco Bose CD system. When stepson got it, he said it didn't seem to have much volume. He poked around the dash and said it appeared to have RCA-type connectors coming out from the head unit. I asked if he could locate a separate amp and he said he couldn't. He said he did locate what looks like the subwoofer assembly under the hatch.
I'm doing all this communicating via email so all the details might not be clear.
My question to the forum is, What should be there for the system?
Is there a separate amp under the dash? Could the system work without the amp? If the amp is missing, can you get one separately, like on-line auctions?
Thanks

Re: Info On Delco Bose CD System
The individual speakers have amps. Not sure if the 94 has 2 speakers+sub like my 95 or 4+sub. Should be the same anyways. Mine stock did pretty well for volume b4 getting any distortion. Not sure why you would have prblems unless you have a or a couple of blown speakers. If they have sound then the amp for that speaker is on.
