i have a 99 z28 camaro with ttops and was wondering if anyone has these speakers in their car with the stock amp. i was wondering how they sound and if these are a good choice. if not any other suggestions i am planning on putting in infinitys just do not know which ones the kappas or references also i have noticed that the kappas are 2 ohms and the references are 4 ohms and i believe the stock ones are 2 ohms so the references would have poor sound quality correct me if im wrong. any input would be great thanks

 

Check to see if they fit. Last time i checked the kappas had problems with tweeter sticking out to far. That being said the kappas are a nice speaker. I belive the reason the kappas went to 2 ohms is that they expect you to amp them up whereas the ref series can go either way. If you have monsoon like me then first thign you shoudl do is forget that crappy amp. Your speakers wills ound better off your HU. If you go the kappas then spend some money on a good AMP. Check the clearance and plan to loose all the monsoon ****. Plan on a AMP install and speakers and runnign all new wire
