Unhappy I would like to add 2 10's and an amp BUT

I have a 2001 Firebird with a factory stereo system in it. It has the prmemium sound system in it which is the 500 watt 10 speker Monsoon system with subs. I would like to have more bump by adding an amp and two 10's, but I have been told that in order to do so I would have to rewire my whole damn system. That's going to run me about 200 dollars and I was like **** that. So if somone can tell me if there is a way arund this let me know. I've also been told ther is a special setup that people with this factory system in their Firebirds can buy, but if so I don't know where to get it. If anyone knows abuot it please also let me know.

You could add subs to your current setup with a PAC OEM-1 harness, they are approx. $80US. I wouldn't though. You're going to need a much better soundstage upfront to go with the added bass or all you will hear is the bass. I would replace the HU, get a good component set for upfront and a decent amp running them then the subs and sub amp. This will require rewiring.

Of course you could just add the subs to the stock system but it's not going to sound very good. I would wait until you have the money to upgrade the whole system.
