I want to see sub installs in T-TOP cars... pic post

I want to see what people have done for sub installs in their t-top cars. Above the gas tank, stealth installs... anything. Let's see 'em. I need ideas.

I did a search and came across this: http://www.subthump.com/acamarottop.htm

From the picture it only appears that it's possible to hold 1 t-top, I'm confused as to how this setup works, but if anyone has it I'd be interested in hearing more about it. I'm looking more for custom stuff though.

It holds both tops. Trust me. I can e-mail you other pics if you need. If you look hard, you can see the corner of the other top. It's just hidden by the angle the pic was taken. And that is custom stuff btw. All my stuff is.

Oooh that's your site? Cool. Yes I'd definitely like to see more pictures... with the box out and in and whatever angles you have. How in the world do both tops fit in there? Do they rub each other? I worry about them scratching. Thanks!

You shouldn't have any issues with scratching. Steve's the man!

Okay, I just posted more pics on there. Take a look at those--especially the one with in the red Z. Notice the foam strip. I've taken every step to ensure that nobody's tops will get scratched. The two glass pieces don't actually touch anyhow. And no your vision is not blocked at all. I've already tested that out. I couldn't even see the tops when looking out the rear-view mirror. FYI, I've sold tons of these.

Wow that is pretty nifty.... a couple more questions:

Do the t-tops rattle when the subs hit, or when you are driving do they flop back and forth and bump each other or the sub box wall?

And also how do you think two 12" Alpine R's would sound in that setup?

Pretty sweet setup, man....

I don't have T-Tops, but I have an install that is VERY stealth and will NOT take up any of the T-Top storage space. Link is in my sig.

Steve likes Alpine's as much as I do. They'll sound killer with enough power.

I have probably 3 or more guys running that exact setup. Works great. The alpines really do work well in my box. I recommend them a lot when guys ask.

So do the t-tops stay in place or do they flop around and bang into each other? I'm just trying to figure out how it works... do you send a custom holding bracket or something?

I just got a sub and box for $170 from ebay. I wish i would have seen that box cause I have t-tops too, but i guess it's too late now. But anyways, the box that i bought goes where the back speaker box goes. It came w/ a 10" sub as well. I'll tell ya in a few days how it sounds and looks cause it's still on the way right now.

I have the t-top box. Trust me, like said, it works. Infact, I have both my t-tops in my trunk right along with my two 12s.

The tops actually slide down into the trunk area. I put a towel between mine just to make sure nothing scratches. It is a snug fit, so there is no banging, but it's not tight enough to stress anything. Very well done.
