I need HELP!! Bose related!!
I never receved the Bose stereo in my car when I got it, and it was orgiginally a Bose stereo car.
Ok the guy who is doing my stereo said that the plug for the Bose HU is not there, and needs to be replaced with the existing one.
My worry, is that since I was running aftermarket speakers with different wires, that the whole stereo is going to need to be rewired. I'm really confused, I don't know anything about this stuff, can someone please help me?

You're probably just as well to rewire it anyway. You might be in over your head on that one, but it's actually not too difficult. If you're using an aftermarket deck, you'll probably want to use aftermarket speakers as well. I don't know the bose system all that well, but from what I recall if you're using after market speakers and an aftermarket deck you almost have to rewire it.

Ok. Your post is a little confusing to me. Let me know if I have this straight. When you bought the car, it didn't have the CD player in it. Now, you have somebody putting a Bose CD player in for you? And you are already running aftermarket speakers? What is powering the speakers? The bose system is a POS. I would keep your aftermarket speakers and wiring and just by an aftermarket head unit.hehehehe. Unless, I'm totally reading this wrong......
Yeah I know, I diddn't really make myself clear.
When I bought my car, I did not get the Bose, BUT it was originally a Bose car. I got an aftermarket deck, and some blown Honda speakers.
Now, I am having a full and complete Bose stereo installed in my car. Speakers, rear sub, and factory CD player. This is what I want, I like the way the Bose sounds.
So what I'm worried about, is that the wiring that was powering the aftermarket stereo, isin't correct (for lack of a better term) to power the Bose stereo. It's very difficult to explain, and I know I sound like an idiot but I got stuck with this.
If you guys can't figure it out it's okay, I'll get it taken care of I just wanted some opinions.

Here's an honest opinion. Don't bother. Everyone and their dog is trying to upgrade the bose to get rid of it. Does it sound decent? Sure, but the same amount of effort/money will go much further if spent on something more worthwhile.
In order to use the Bose system you're going to HAVE to get Bose speakers. Hopefully the wiring for those will still be in tact, if not, there's some more work for you.
Really, the same kind of money and effort will go much further in the aftermarket world than it will for just replacing the stock stuff. Only exception I could see to this would be if you're restoring a classic.
