hu question and watt difference

has anyone had any experiance with the clarion vrx925vd? any input would be great. also wondering if i should run a 300/4 amp which would be 75 each speaker or just leave the 50 to each coming from the hu? would 25 watts make a noticable difference? i know if it was 50 + it would . TIA

The amp will sound MUCH better than the HU's amp. By a long shot.

The watt rating of all HU's are MAX. It puts out about 20RMS. 20RMS or 75RMS... hmmmmm..

Yea, but it's not just that....

How big is a "typical" 4 x 35 WRMS amp? About a foot square, and about 2" thick give or take. How big is that same rating amp that's in your HU, about 1" x 1" x .125", that's it... They sacrifice a LOT of things for internal amplifiers on HUs, that's why eccternals amps will ALWAYS sound better, even if they're the same claimed wattage as the HU.
