Question Help please.

Are the wiring kits the same for a 98 as they are on a 2000 for a stereo on a Camaro? I have the harness from my 2000 attached to my radio and I was thinking I could just transfer everything over no problem. Or is a different harness and dash kit? Thanks!

It will probably work. I'd recommend stopping by your local car stereo shop first though and looking at their wiring harnesses. The package will tell you what years the harness is good for. GM has been using the 1.5 DIN sized HU since '82 if I remember correctly. It wouldn't be cost effective to change the wiring harness each model year. Going from '98 to '00 isn't that big of a jump in years.

Thanks! I was gonna check it yesterday but it is raining real hard and I can't move around too much in my garage. I did take out the radio and just checked to see if the harness snapped in and sure enough. Just wanted to double check. Thanks!!!

for F-Body's I belive from about 91 or 92 up uses the same harness, 90 and below uses a harness that has 3 seperate plugs that go into it. Unless its a GEO or something that may use the GM import harness.
