Help me design a system for my '95 please

Hey guys,

I have had many cars, stereo's and multiple F bodies and budget systems over the years. I never had enough money to buy a complete setup at once.

I just recently got my '95 car and want some help to design a GOOD sounding system. I would like to keep the budget kinda reasonable. I would not mind spending around $2k total.

I will need a head unit, but I don't need anything too fancy. I have a indash DVD player in my diesel, and although its great, I don't use it much. This car is a driver. I want to be able to play MP3s and all major popular formats though, and even a small dvd screen inside one would be ok, but nothing big/too expnesive. Preouts and spk. controls are more important. I'm sure I can pick my own good deck. Lets say $500-$800 range. I also need to figure out a way to make the factory steering wheel controls work. But here is where I need help:

Speakers and Subs. Car is stock now, but I would like to change all the speakers to something of higher quality. I am not sure what sizes fit. I would also even consider getting kick panels for more speakers, but there must be a point where too many spks. is too much. So if anyone can recommend sizes and combos in a reasonable price range.

I have a Ultravision 1500W mono block am that I have only used for a brief time to power my singe 12" and it has enough power for dual 12s for sure. I also have a large Cap.

I will need speaker amp(s) though. I will also need subs and an enclosure.

I'm not sure if I should just go for a single stealth 10" sub or dual 12" hatch enclosure. Car has no t-tops, so that is not a worry. However I do plan on keeping my nitrous bottle in the spare tire comparment, so anything in there is out of the question. I want quality sound and bass, it does not have to be super loud, just stable and quality at higher volumes. So I need sub/enclosure ideas/recommandations.

Throw some recommendations my way please. Would door, rear pillar and kick panel speakers be too many spks? Not sure what those spks. in the hatch are doing, of if there are any replacements worth my time back there.

I DO want to keep the look nice and neat, which means stock door panels and rear pillar pannels, and of course whatever I come up with in the kick panels if I go with some.

Thanks for all your help,

Igor.
