I hooked up my new head unit and I can only get it to turn on for a few seconds then shut-off. I checked the wires and theyre all hooked up right. It wont do anything while its on. It just lights up and shows the time and thats it. Any ideas?

 

does it say protect?

some radios do that if there is a grounded out speaker wire. that's where i would start my exploration
