Thank-you for the speaker advice. I can't find the Focal speakers local but did find a place on line that sells them new.
Sooooo
Could you reccomend a Model# of thier seperate sets theat will fit in a stock speaker mount in the door. I dont want them (the mid range) to be seen in the door and want them to hid by the stock grill. I will mount the tweeter on the A pillar.
Thank you for the help.
Roger D
p.s. think cheaper model (Im married and the wife does not understand)

You're gonna want a 165mm set. If you can spare the cash go for the new Polyglass units, they are amazing for the price. If not look to the entry level Access. More specifically the actual part numbers will be the 165 V2 (Polyglass) and the 165 A (Access). Where are you looking to get them from? PM me, I may know a better site, I've dealth with quite a few.
I am looking at Onlinecarstereo.com
Here is what I like so far
Pioneer Premier DEH-p740mp
and
Focal 165v component speakers front
and
Focal for rear (have looked yet)
I won't be buying an amp as of yet so I hope the decks 50w X 4 power will get me buy for a while. (OK it will suck for a while)

You're gonna want the V2's not the V's. The V2's are far superior and cost the exact same. They are just the newest model, I think they were released right before Christmas time if I'm remembering correctly. As for the rear, the best thing would be to get a 130V2 component set and install the midbass in the hatch, but that requires a custom mount. If you wanna run something that'll work direct fit you can go for another 165V2 and just run the midbass. Or if you REALLY want treble in the rear, which I would advise against, look into the 165CV. I do suggest you run another set of Polyglass so they will be timbre matched. I like the Polyglass alot, but if you are hurting for cash the Access are a great bargain, they have all the models you'll need.
You won't be getting the best results unless you run an external amplifier. Don't let the 50x4 rating fool you, that MAX power. Basically, if lightening strikes it'll produce that much for a milisecond. 10-15Wx4 @ 12.5V is a more realistic measurement. Check out USacoustics amps, great value. You can get an 80x2 @ 12.5 for around $100.
