Remove the key, open door, still stays on. I know there is some box that is supposed to keep it on for 10 minutes until you open the door. Is there any way to just wire it to the key?

Sounds like either the radio is wired to a constant 12V source for the ignition side, or the Accessory Circuit has an issue. I've got my Kenwood wired into the Factory Harness and it works as expected stays on for 10 Min if you remove the key, but don't open the door, otherwise shuts off as soon as the key is removed and a door opens.

Did you use a plug N play harness to plug into the existing wiring or splice into the harness??

See: Camaro Radio Install for wiring colors.

So where is the doorpin located on a 99? On my 94 it was obvious, but on this car there is no pin located in the front jamb near the dash
