Frustrated
Ok so here's the deal: I just recently purchased my 1994 z28 and it had the stock sound system in it, so I decided to put in a cd player. I bought a Kenwood deck, (not sure the exact one at the moment) and tried to install it myself. It didn't work, so I had my friend who installs cd players all the time try to do it, but once again it didn't work. The head unit will turn on and look like it is playing, but no sound comes out of the speakers! All the wires seem to be hooked up perfectly as well. The old stock HU would play just fine though, so I am very confused. We took my new cd player and put it in my friends car to make sure it would actually work, and it played just fine in his car. So any help would be appreciated, should I take my car in to a professional or is there anyway I can do this on my own? thanks in advance!
Re: Frustrated
is it the Bose Gold system?
if so then you cut the negative wires from the back speakers (at the radio harness, green/black and purple/black) just leave these disconnected it should make the stereo work.
