front speakers resting on door pannel?

My brother installed infinity speakers and i have recently noticed after having the speaker covers off that the speakers are resting on the inside of the door pannel? is there any way to fix this?

Re: front speakers resting on door pannel?

I had the same problem with a set of Infinity speakers in my '99 TA. I actually blew one of the mid-woofers because of this. The problem was that I was using the factory speaker bafflles. I made my own set of baffles that lowered the speakers into the door cavity an extra 1/4" and the problem was solved.

My baffle solution
I added the 4th screw at the top to help make things a little more rigid. I also sealed around the baffle edges with silicone caulk to quiet any rattles.
