I have an '88 IROC with the factory Bose system. I bought the car and the guy said that the power antenna was broken so the radio would not work, only the great static that responds to throttle variations...lol. I did not bother trying a tape. I tried a tape the other day and it seemed like it was jammed or something because the tape would not go in all the way. There is nothing that I can see in there that would be causing this. What should I look for to possibly make this work? If the head unit is shot for whatever reason, will an aftermarket head unit work with the Bose system (if so, will I need any special adapters or anything?) or will it no longer be of any use?
