When I lock my doors and my alarm arms, the horn chirps twice and the lights flash like normal, but about 5 seconds later the car sounds two obnoxious full volume honks. Does anyone know how to shut off that second part? I looked in the manual and could not find anything.

Mine is also doing similar problems. It will chirp fine but then eventually will set off all by itself with nothing around or reason to.

It could be 5 seconds later, or 5 minutes. I tried turning the sensitivity down but it still doesn't work. I eventually turned it off entirely until we can find a fix.

 

On aftermarket alarms, sometimes that is a signal to you that one of the alarm inputs has gone bad. Might want to check out the door ajar and hatch ajar switches...
