I have a mounting kit from scosche (I think) in my car, just got it from walmart I believe... it works fine BUT, it sticks out about 2-3 inches PAST the original trim piece of the dash, and was just curious if anyone knew or has made a mounting bracket that puts the head unit approx. the same spot where the original cd player would have been.

I can supply pics in a bit what I mean if I confused someone, but for now its back to work! Thanks in advance!

 

When I had my car I got a flush mount kit from best buy. Sorry, I don't remember the brand.

 

I'll check out their website and the nearest store (when they re-open, lol... caught on fire!)

Metra 99-3009 is the kit. ebay, bestbuy, circuit city etc

this is the only kit that fits camaro/firebird the universal gm kits wont work

 

Thanks for the part number, greatly appreciated! Oh and btw, the GM kit WILL work... just takes some gentle persuasion... and a bench grinder! But I think this kit will look much better than what I have now, I greatly appreciate your guys help!

 

ok so the generic kit isnt designed to work haha, cause i know the only kit listed to work on the 93-96 fbody is the metra one i listed haha
