Question Extra little wiring harness off the radio?

Hey i have a 99 firebird v6, with no monsoon system. I installed the radio myself and noticed a extra liitle harness that i did not use it had about six wires coming from it. I also noticed 2 empty harness underneath the rear hatch panels on both sides. Is this extra little harness for the 6X9 rear hatch pillar speakers that i do not have? Just curious, i know i can run my own speaker wire if i cut my panels for 6X9's. Thanks

The harness is for the factory CD changer.

There are NO 6x9 speakers used in a 4th gen Camaro or Firebird.

Those speakers in the rear hatch area in my 96 Formula (came with the 10 speaker system) were a 4 inch midrange and a 1 inch tweeter. The grill looks like a 6x9 would fit there, and with heavy mods to the plastic, you might get one to work, but mine was what I noted above.

Oh, and ditto on the harness for the CD changer.

I assummed they were 6X9's due to the gril size. Thanks for clearing that up
