eq needed?

eq needed?

i have a pioneer deh-p930 head unit a jl 300/4 amp and 2 sets of coxal md quarts in the doors and a set of mb quart conponets. Do i need a eq? for some resson it just doesnt sound right off the headunit.

Check you setting on the headunit. That is a good *** headunit. I had the p920r and the p940. Doesn't it have a built in eq? Both of mine did and built in crossovers.

I'd say something in what you currently have is not setup properly.

EQ's are normally used in really low end systems where people don't know what they are doing, or on the other extreme where people know EXACTLY what they are doing and want that last bit of adjustability for a higher-end SQ system.

For most people, EQs are not really needed 99.99% of the time.
