Electrical Problem. NOT common!
I've been having a wierd electrical problem in my car for a little while now and I had a bit of time this week so I thought I'd give it a go in fixing it. Obviously things aren't going well so thats why I'm posting here to see if anyone has any suggestions before I have to take it in somewhere and get out the $$$.
My driver's side taillight will work fine basically all of the time. UNLESS I have the brakes on and am signaling RIGHT and take the signal off. The drivers side brakelight will then SHUTOFF entirely and will NOT function at all until I signal on THAT side. Kind of confusing and such an odd combination, but this literally is the only thing I can pin point it to not working from.
Just to clarify, If the RIGHT signal comes off by completing the turn OR if I take it off manually when the brakes are pressed I won't have any driver's side brakelight until I signal LEFT.
I have tried replacing all of the bulbs and sockets already. I have checked the ground connections and ground bolt. And I have also replaced the flasher. Now I am completley out of ideas and open to any suggestions.
If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot,
-Mike
