Driving light help

Ok, I hate the light my headlights put out, I have replaced the elements in the main lights, now I want to do something similar to the driving/fog lights. My headlights now have 9005 and 9006 (for my nice small 94 lights). I would like to put a similar strength bulb in the driving lights. I am sure I can get the wires and connector from a junkyard....however that will be much more juice than the switches are used to. Therefore I would like to keep the dash switches stock, however is there a way to have the currently feeding the DLs routed into a realy that will then take additional current from somewhere else to power the bulbs?

Do you understand what I am asking? Is there someone who can help?

yup.. just run power from the little red box on the PS inner-fender through an inline fuse to the relay... then to your lights... then just splice the old light power wire into the relay as the "trigger" wire and you're all set.

Thanks, What type of relay....a headlight relay for a camaro? Or another relay.....will the power wire that will act as the trigger carry too much juice? Also, What strenght fuse?

Excuse my ignorance but I am in healthcare.....Dammit Jim, I'm a Doctor (not really) not an engineer!

This sounds like a good idea. What bulbs did you find that fit in the fog light housings?

any 30/40A relay will work fine for your app. Then just use an inline fuse rated at 20A should be fine.
