Double din? Will this fit?

I am hoping that I will get some money to replace the in dash tv/dvd that just got stolen but either way I will be needing something new so I just started looking and found this. http://cgi.ebay.com/KENWOOD-DNX7100-...QQcmdZViewItem
The only problem is that it is double din and I was wondering if it would be possible to put it in my camaro. If so what would need to be done to get it to work.

Thanks

you would have to make your own mounting system for it because there is no double din kit for camaro's b/c it is only 1 3/4 din. you will then have to trim out your dash bezel. it is possible, as i flushed a 7 inch in my first 99 z28, and i will be doing a double din in my current 99 z28

Yea it can be done - just as mentioned, a lot of custom work.. That unit is nice though - and I have seen a couple pics of that same one installed over on LS1tech.com.

before you dig in, I advise finding a nice double din ISO-mount dash kit. At work I did one in a 95. I believe i used a rustang kit...

I removed the bezel, cut it down the middle with the airsaw, sectioned in about another 2.5 inches with some ABS then laid fiberglass over it. The kid had it sent out for paint. It came back all airbrushed and looked really nice. I had to remove the deep part of the center console where the cassette tapes go by the cig lighter.

for an idea, why don't you just mount a nice brain unit in the single din slot and run AV cable to that cassette storage and mount a nice monitor there? That would be solid **** and beer.
