Question Does the Camaro really take 7inch speakers?

I went to a site and it said 93-97 Camaro's take 7inch speakers, well that is an odd size so I was wondering is this true?

They take what are called "oversized" 6-1/2" speakers which are really 6-3/4" speakers.

Not even sure where you could get sevens. You can cram a 6X9 in the rear speaker hole with a few modifications though.

Dude you most not look around that much, Their are like a ton of 7 inch speakers around. So I take it the Camaro can take 7 inch speakers right? Cause if it I can that is what I'm going to put in it when I take out the 6 1/2 Pioneers that are in it.

If you want 7's you're probably gonna have to do some surgery on your doors to enlarge the holes. Even then they still may not fit. The trim panels may not allow for the larger flange of the speaker's basket.

I just put standard 6 1/2 inch speakers in and they worked fine.
