I was looking at a box on ebay for my subs but it says its for a 97 only? I thought they were the same back there, does anyone know if there is a difference?

Why not ask the people selling that particular box? I have seen that before. Either they have a special reason or they don't know. I dunno why they would limit it to 97s. Maybe that's the model year car they got in to build one for and have no idea if it will fit other years so they are being safe. It's kinda dumb if you ask me. Because it doesn't take a lot to make the same box fit all years.

My boxes for instance will fit 93-02. The only real difference came in 99 when they started putting the spring and lever on the lock to pop the trunk lid up. So for those years, the notch around the lock has to be slightly different. So in my boxes, 93-98 is the same, 99-02 is the same. Guess I just know these cars a lil better than they do.

 

Yeah I tried contacting them but they had no response as of yet? So maybe they dont really want to sell it, who knows?
