Anyone found a custom radar detector that you can install and power off/on with a switch...something hidden BEHIND your dash and not on top of it? Thinking about buying one taking it apart and relocating the sensors and mounthing the LCD in the dash. Any in put would be great!

There are some hidden radar detectors. They usually hide behind the grill, with a display mounted where the driver can see it.

 

where would one find one of these "hidden" radar detectors?

 

I don't remember who makes them, but they are a well known brand. Google on "radar detector tests" and you'll probably find them. They're not cheap.

Forgot to mention, I beleave Bel also makes them if I remember correctly from what I read.
