componets with no amp

componets with no amp

i was wondering how my mb quarts would sould running off of just my head unit. the head unit is thealpine cda-9835. would this sound alright for now till i could get my amp? the stock stero and speakers are killing me.

Really they'll sound fine. The only thing is the power coming out of the head unit will only allow you play them so loud before they distort. An amp simply gives you more clean power to play with, allowing you to turn the volume dial up so long as they are crossed over and EQ'd properly.

thanks, that was what i thought but was not sure. i just cant wait till i get my jl450/4 to put on it though.

I just put the CDA-9820XM in mine. Only prob Ive had other than not being able to crank really loud due to a shady new alternator, is the stupid thing losing all power like I unplugged the battery. Supposedly, when hooking it up there should be a new wire ran direct from your battery. Per the local installer.
