Just brought home my 1994 Z28 tonight ( new to Camaros! ). It is a 1 owner low mileage car that has been well maintained. I noticed the clock light was on on the stock stereo when I walked by the car. Couldn't figure out how to shut it off? Am I being stupid or is there a glitch? I ended up disconnecting the battery. Any help appreciated.

The clocks stay on in these cars. And also the radio will stay on untill you open the doors. Even if the key is off and of out the ign

 

bobbyk3lly is mostly right. the clock stays on after you shut off the engine, get out, and lock the car, but it will turn off after some time. i never paid too much attention to it, but its something around 10-15 mins. thats on my 02, but i imagine a 94 would do the same thing. by the way, LT1Gary, you should get a signature, so people can more easily know what car youre talking about, without you having to tell them. welcome to the site!
