Question Clear things up a bit please.

So how exactly is a Monsoon system wired up? I know the front door panels have one set going back to the amp and the other set directly to the HU. The sail panel ones, do they go directly back to the amp or go also to the HU? Then the hatch are 4 ohm speakers, are they wired to the amp or go to the HU? I want to install a new HU, but heard that you lose the sail panel subs if you do. I actually like those little things. Trying to see if I can rig up something. THanks!

The HU powers the door tweets and the hatch speakers. The POS Monsoon amp powers the door woofers and the so called subwoofers.

How does the HU send the signal to the amp? Is it wired up like a normal amp would? I heard something that it only turns on when something is detected or something to that effect. Thanks!

The POS Monsoon amp uses speaker level inputs. Whenever the amp detects an incoming signal it turns on.
