Cheap dynamat?

What's that stuff you can get from Home Depot or other store that's just like dynamat? I know it's a lot cheaper and almost the same thing. Or is there something else like dynamat that's cheaper? Thanks.

I think you are thinking of "Peal and Seal" i have heard that it is a little messier than Dynamat, Raammatt, and edead...etc, but it should work fine. I have tried Raammatt, and it is just like Dynamat, only 1/3 the price... good stuff, it is actually cheaper than the peal and seal at the local Lumber yard.

Where do you get the Raammatt at? Or the edead?

All that stuff is nice, but I personally like the Spray-on stuff, it seems to do a better job, and covers everything. But that's MHO. I normally use the 3M rubberised underbody coating. Mask off everything I don't want to spray, and go at it. It works compariably or better than the generic Dynamat that I've used in the past. A little messier, but it also seems to hold up better over time. My brother's car has been coated that way for over 10 years now, and we just put new carpet in it last month, still looks exactly the same under the carpet.

Raammatt you can get of ebay, and E-Dead can be bought off edesignaudio.com Both Rick (From Raam audio) and Ben (from elemental designs) are great guys to deal with, and have a great product. They both have stuff that is similar to regular Dynamat and alos the Extreme.... and WAY cheaper yet just as good as Dynamat.

that's what I use also, but B-quiet extreme will work just as fine. You only need to use brown bread if you are using it around high temp areas.
