I have a Panasonic deck and there is an add on you can get for an Ipod connection. If I got the add on, would I be able to use that connection for my Blackberry pearl to play mp3s? I know I won't be able to control the BB through the deck - just wondering if I can connect it and play it through that connection.

I'm pretty sure you can only use apple brand. I would use see if the deck has an aux input rca. Then just buy a rca to 3.5mm plug and get audio that way. I'm not sure about what deck you have but when we carried panasonic the ipod connection was very slow and not easy to use. I still think alpine has the best ipod control. You can get the entry level Alpine very cheap these days and it is packed with all the features most people need like ipod, sub control, usb, and 3.5mm aux. Its pretty easy to use, looks classy and bluetooth can be added with extra module.

 

Well this is in my beater Altima - the RCA connection I was going to use for my SAT radio hook up instead of the fm modulator. I could just split it though right?

 

You could as long as you don't have them pluged in at the same time. Or at least turned on together.
