If you want a changer for your stock HU you should go with the stock changer the HU is meant to be used with for best sound quality. You other option is to buy and aftermarket FM modulated changer but the quality of the sound isn't as good. I've never installed one but I believe they connect to you HU's antenna input.

I've only heard one FM modulated changer, it was in one of my ex's car's (hooked up to the stock '99 excort zx2 HU)....I drove the car every now and then and I could definately notice that the CD didn't sound as good and clear as it should. Definately not as clear as the stock changer in my sister's GTP.

I have a Sony FM modular one hooked up to the antenna output, and it sound great. Never skips either, I have it mounted in the rear hatch.

Your other option is to use a PIE GM10 digital protocol adapter that can be used with a Kenwood changer.
