I just got a 98 SS with Monsoon. I have a 12 disc JVC X99 Changer in my Z with a JVC HU. I was thinking of keeping the HU in the Z, and using the factor HU in the SS. I looked over at LS1.com at their faq to see if they talked anywhere about JVC changer working with the factory system, but I did not come across it. How could I find out without taking everything apart? Thanks.

 

A JVC changer will not work with anything but a JVC HU. You would need a digital protocol adapter to use it with the factory HU. PIE makes an adapter but it only works with Kenwood changers if I remember correctly.
