My car started fine last night, but when I went out this morning, i hit my keyless entry and nothing happened. so i opened my door and no alarm went off. then i stuck my key in and went to start the car and it wouldnt turn over. then when i turned my key back to take it out, the alarm went off, but it sounded as if the speaker for the alarm was under water. the sound was all garbled up. then the alarm would go off every five minutes, which ran the battery dead. i hooked up some jumper cables and charged the battery and tried to start it, and i got that click-click-click-click like when the battery is dead, but the charge was showing full on the gauge. could this be an alternator problem? or is it faulty wiring in the alarm system?
