Capacitor

How do I hook a capacitor up to my amp?

connect cable from battery to cap then to amp, then ground cap, and ground amp. The cap looks alot better if you use some of the capacitor pass throughs for the wires instead of using ring terminals.

If you use a distribution block , but the cap before the distribution block, then wire from the cap to the dist. block.

Place the cap after the D-block and as close to the subwoofer amp as possible. Bass places the highest current demand on your car's charging system. The cap will do the most good by being placed as close to the sub amp as possible.

Be sure to charge the cap before you install it. Otherwise you will most likely throw a huge spark when you first connect it. No harm will come to the cap from this but the spark will damage the finish on the cap's connections. You can charge it using a light bulb in series with the cap. When the cap is charged the bulb will go out.
