Camaro sub boxes

Hey guys, i'm about to get a new system reletively soon and i'm trying to find some subwoofer boxes that don't kill all my trunk space. I've looked at the MTX Thunderforms http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTXCF10T45 but $300 seems very excessive and one i don't think one sub will cut it.

So i was wondering if anyone knows of some good, small form factor subwoofer boxes or better yet, some subwoofers that function well with small box areas.

Thanks a lot!

Re: Camaro sub boxes

Subthump has a huge variety of choices including passenger and driver side stealth boxes, which hide away like the MTX, but have a much higher build quality. Amplifier not included.

I have a 10" drivers side stealth, with a Alpine Type R in it taking a bit under 400 watts. It's more than enough for me -I think most people are suprised at how hard it hits.

Re: Camaro sub boxes

i will don't worry, but slight change of plans. I believe i'll be going with one sub (hopefully temporarily) in one of these boxes http://www.subthump.com/acamarostealth.htm powered by a mono amp.

I'll let you know what i decide.

Re: Camaro sub boxes

Does anybody have any of these?

I'm thinking about getting one of these, but I don't want it if I can't move it to put stuff in the trunk.

Re: Camaro sub boxes

You can move them, but it's not easy...

The stealth enclosures are very nice and can make sound good if matched with the right sub.

If you are looking for a sub that likes small enclosures that performs completely awe-inspiring (But will NOT fit into and off-the-shelf stealth box) check out the Adire Brahmas, Resonant Engineering XXX, and Elemental Designs A-Series. All are designed to perform in smaller enclosure but still be crystal clear and loud enough to cause permenant damage to your hearing.

Re: Camaro sub boxes

The Kicker is decent, but Boss is a little too no-named (bottom of the barrel stuff); you can find better for the price. Look on ebay for a Mono JBL amp; right now those are one of the best subwoofer amps out there for the price.

Re: Camaro sub boxes

Decisions decisions. Well I'm almost back to square one. However i have been looking at this for quite some time: http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTXRT10X3A

I know the subs are no where near competition, but the price has me wondering. Does anyone have a scoop on this setup or the subs themselves? If I bought it could i replace the stockers later? Or would i be better off going with this http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTXRT12X2A ?

Keep in mind this would be my first system, and i'm looking for something relatively inexpensive.

Re: Camaro sub boxes

Has anyone seen or bought the http://www.subthump.com/acamarottop.htm T-Top box? I am trying to find something is going to look good while also allowing me to store my tops. My only concern is that I want to still be able to store things in the back and yet still have nice bass. Tall order but just wanted to know what people have honestly used and liked or disliked. So far the T-Top, milhouse and the stealth enclosures are my final picks but I guess I just need one 4th gen owner to delcare how much they love their box
