Angry buggered up sub

hey guys, i have 2 12" audiobahn dvc subs with 2" voice coils and for some reason one of the coils keeps breaking off right where it attaches to the connector. i have already fixed it once by resoldering it back in to the connector and it worked fine for about a month, but now it has broken off again. i cant seem to figure out why it keeps breaking off. is there anyway i can attach a piece of speaker wire to the end of the voice coils and the to the connector so it doesnt break off again. thanks

it travels some but not enough to rip the voice coil off. after i fixed it i tested it by pushing the sub in and out and the coils never came close to being tight. i have no idea why it keeps breaking off.

That would be the tinsel lead, not the coil.

Yes, you can solder wire to connect the 2 pieces..
