Post bridging a 4 channel amp

i have a 400wx4 amp (1800w total) and i have a 12" audiobahn flame q which us 2200watts. Its a DVC (dual voice coil) and i want to push 1800 watts to it. can i bridge the 4 channels into 2 channel and run 900 watts to each voice coil or would it just short out?

It will work. You just need to make sure that you are sending a MONO signal to the amp and that both gains (one for channels 1&2 and another for channels 3&4) are matched properly. You don't want one VC getting more power than the other. The best way to do this is with an O-scope. Otherwise you'll just be guessing.
