Bose system expansion
Bose system expansion
I've got a 96 Z28 w/the stock Bose system.
I'm wondering, can I, or is it possible to expand the rear subwoofer compartment there and just fit in a larger woofer?
Also, is it possible at all to modify a the stock deck to play MP3's?
Anyone with any experience in these areas?
Cheers
Adam

Are all the speakers amp. or just the rear sub? If you have the rear sub. is it possible not to have the amp. Circuit city said if you have bose you have the amp. system. Best Buy said it was a option to get the amp and not every bose system has the amp now who is right??? Anybody know?
Bose does use wierd impendance. The fronts are wired at 4 ohms which is normal for cars, also makes it easy for replacing the door speakers should you want to.However the rears and sub (actually a mid-bass) are wired at one.Which absolutely screws you when wanting to replace or upgrade. You have to run new wiring for them.
