Ok this is gonna sound kookie but 100% absolutely true. I was in the Army at Ft. Campbell there was a stereo shop I went in he showed me an 8" Sub that rattled the sheot out of the whole entire store TRUE BASS AUDIO is what is said on the sub I cannot find them anywhere web or elsewhere anyone else ever heard of it. Find that I would say that would be best thump for your buck while taking up minimal space.

Any sub is going to be somewhat impressive in the 4th gen due to it being a hatchback.

Reamo seems to know more caraudio than the other people in here.

Image Dynamics makes great subs and also components so definitely check them out.

If was going to choose a setup for your car, I'd get a single FI Q. (ficaraudio.com) and a decent 1000 watt amp. Rockford power series are great amps but a little pricey. Some hifonics amps are decent if you're on a budget and they will put out rated power. However, a Sundown SAE-1200 would be a great amp for that FI Q. I think that setup would be very impressive and would give you more bass than you really need.

I prefer 4kw+ setups for competing though.

XXX's are nice low-end monsters. I had a chance to get some of the 05's for $450 for two of the 15's but I wasn't up for that build in a 4th gen haha. I recently got a deal on a memphis 16-mcd4kw. I think I may end up running a pair of btl 10's or maybe some RD heavyweights. are you on ca.com?

with the two 18s, normally 152-156
note, this is also WHILE playing music, and these are averages, not peak numbers

haha they really are a pain to build in, but I still haven't seen a nice ported box available for them. I got in touch with subthump a long time ago about making me a custom ported box but they wouldn't.
