best 10" sub for thump and price

Hi:

I ordered One of those 10" sub enclosures for the drivers side rear in my hatch. (93 Z28)

Considering both price and thump what is the best bang for my buck.

Please be specific so I may source the right sub. Brand and model number is appreciated.

Currently I just use a Walmart Pioneer 12" with a pre fab put together sub box for now but want something better and then be able to use my hatch area again.

Your help is appreciated.

what do u consider a "good" price

Personally, kicker CVRs and Alpine Type R's are among my two favorite "cheaper" subwoofers.

what amp do you have so i can make a better recommendation?

Thanks guys for your help.

I bought a Rockford Fosgate Punch

400 / 800 watts

Where do they stack up?

It was in stock when I went looking local so I bought.

Will finish the install tomorrow.

im assuming its a P1 punch? they are cheap, lower quality than a type R, elemental, IDQ, cvr, they are a decent "beginner" subwoofer, and im sure you'll be happy with it. I used to compete in Bass Race 150 and Street B DB drags, i would never run one, but I know tons of people using them and they are happy with them.

Sounds good to me but man it pulls the juice from my amp compared to the 12 inch Walmart Pioneer Sub I was using.

p3s are good, yes. probably on par with a type-e alpine or so, maybe a little better.

i have 2 10 w3s in the exact same box you are going to use. i dont care what anyone above said about JL, but they do sound DAM good back there, everyone that hears it is in shock that they are 10s. on a 500/1 btw, and 300/4 jl on highs. if can spare some change, get the w3s these are my 3rd pair, had all versions. never blew them, sold them all.
