could this setup work on a 94 car? Since the sub is three ohm cant wont you have more power since it is two ohm load or am i backwards here? I believe the fronts are four ohm....

HOw much was relatively cheap? Like under 200?

The bose setup is completely different, and IMHO that setup I reccomend replacing it all... My sister has it in her 94 Camaro and no matter what you do it sounds like complete ***...

No, no, i have a ten speaker setup very similar to the monsoon, the 93-96 birds had this, and camaros had bose three or five speaker. It is four ohm fronts, and three ohm rear speaker rating or whatever (it say 3 ohm on back of speaker). SO can i use the RF sub back there and have similar results?

Honestly I guess it could work... but 3 ohms could theoretically not work properly... I really just dont know...

........and the 2 ohm experiment

I figured Id see what happens if I wire the new tweeters in parallel with the door speakers to get a 2 Ohm load. Well Aparently the amp may also have a mid pass filter on the door speakers cause some frequencies seemed cut and it sounded worse... So much for that one oh well. Just hook the tweeters to the factory outputs..

The Firebird 10 speaker system can run 4 ohm 6.5S subs without a problem. I used Kicker 4 ohm 6.5" subs in my 95 Formula without any problems.

One question for you guys with these subs, do you loose anything by only using one pair of the leads? I wouldn't think so, but just wondering. Also, another option on subs is the Image Dynamics 6.5 mid bass
http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/webs...s/midbass.html
which is available in a 2 ohm version. They actually have a wider range and higher sensitivity than the Fosgates, but are a little more expensive. I'm probably gonig to put some of these in my Firehawk this winter. They also make 2 ohm seperates that should fit the fronts as well.

I have a 2000 camaro convertible I think it only has four speakers (no subs). Anyone know exactly how the convertibles are set up speaker wise? Any recomendations on speakers cause that is all i want to replace. Thanks!

Im very interested to hear how these turn out. I would assume the Monsoon Amp doesnt have the juice, but hey you never know... Let us know your findings!!

If it only has 4 speakers Id assume your car doesnt have a monsoon system.... correct?

no its definitely a monsoon system. The convertibles dont have the far rear speakers they just have the two door and the two in the back. I think that they count it as eight speakers because GM considers each individual driver a speaker. (4 tweeters and 4 woofers?) anyone have any suggestions for a convertible?

They are 6.5'' in the back and in the front. By the way i have some 6.5'' infinity kappa series component speakers that i had in my firebird but that was with an aftermarket system. How do you think they would sound with the monsoon system if I put those in the front. What should i use for the rear fill? appreciate any opinons!
