Antenna Adapter

My car came with an alpine headunit when i got it. I had it out to wire up some speakers and i realized that the antennas wire had a terrible fit, it was way too small for the hole.

It is the factory non powered antenna. My radio reception has never been good so it leaves me to wonder, do i need some type of adapter to convert the small one into the large one for the alpine hu. Where do i get it from?

Re: Antenna Adapter

GM for whatever reason uses a mini Motorola plug on their antenna cables. You need a mini to standard size Motorola plug adapter.

Re: Antenna Adapter

Many autoparts stores carry them. But to be certain, go to a car audio dealer.
