Amplifier Power for Mid/Tweets?
Amplifier Power for Mid/Tweets?
I have a good clean sound on the lower volumes, but want to up it a bit. Currently running 25w RMS to each from my H/U.
Also, does someone have a schematic for the factory "sub" amp? I am going to assume I will need to delete this since I will be supplying it with more power?
Simply put, I plan on putting in my sub (10" Alpine Type R), but want the rest of the system sounding good before that. To many people dump in a sub and think it sounds good. I want clarity with my volume

Re: Amplifier Power for Mid/Tweets?
What is it you are asking in the first part of your post? Are you asking for the amount of power to go with for your front speakers? If so then 50W to 75W per channel should do the trick with about 300W going to the subwoofer. Your HU's 25W are not really clean watts of power. I would never rely on an HU's internal amp to power any of the speakers in a high quality sound system.
You don't need a schematic to remove the POS factory amp from the equation. Just run all new wiring for your setup. Don't bother using any of the factory wiring.

Re: Amplifier Power for Mid/Tweets?
Sorry about the sketchy question...but yes, you hit it on the head, looking for the power I should be supplying to my components in the doors/sills/trunk area. I know alot will argue about putting speakers behind the driver, but I personally like the "fill".
I'm running Polk Audio MMC6500 and will now most likely by the Polk MOMO C400 amp to run them. Thanks for your help!
