amp mounting

amp mounting

i took out my rear seats and i am going to mount the amps where the backs of the rear seats were. is thier aqnything behind these spots that i should watch out for when drilling them out, like the gas tank or axle or anything like that

The gas tanik is under there somewhere. I'm not sure if you have a lot of clearance there to work with for shooting screws. Have you considered a rear wall amp rack? thanks for the advice but i want what you have up against the rear of the car in my seating compartment where the rear seats used to be

i want it to be alot like what you have but where the backs of my seats were.

on a completely different note DAMN thats a sweet ride

I think it would be cool to butout the back of your seat big enough to hold the amp and just do it that way.. and leave the back seat in

well i did it. no screws or anything. it is severly ghetto rigged but it looks great. ill see if i can get a picture of it up here.

Since you have no seats, use the existing big *** seat belt torx bolt somehow. That's what I would do.

I would find some way to attach some 3/4" MDF to the wall behind the seat, under the carpet, and mount it that way. You could probably use contact cement or epoxy or something. Then just attach the amp to that.
