Well basically as soon as i plug in my pre-outs to the amp it goes into protection mode. i can have the amp on with the pre-outs plugged in if the gain on the amp is low. When the sub is working i can hear it but its not loud at all. If i plug the rca's to the front or rear position in the back of the deck its the same thing. the amp is a brand new xplode 600w. Could i possibly have a bad deck? any input would be great thanks.

 

Try unplugging your speaker from the amp and trying it. You may have some wiring reversed.
