Amp ?

i am new to the camaro family and i have a feeling I will be here a long time cause I am really liking my 95.
I am going to wire up 2 12" MTX subs with a 800 watt 2channel amp. I have a stock Bose sound system already in it. Wat is the best way to wire up the subs? and what is 2ohms and 4 ohms, wat is the difference between the two?

Thanks Josh

Re: Amp ?

The best way is to get rid of all the Bose crap and replace it with higher quality after-market equipment.

An ohm is a unit of resistance to the flow of current. The lower the number the higher the amount of current. So a 2 ohm speaker will draw twice as much current as a 4 ohm speaker. If the number of ohms is too low for the amp to produce enough current it will overheat and go into thermal protection mode and shut down.
